Tips for reliable wifi qr codes
- Use error-correction level H if you add a logo so the code stays scannable.
- Print at least 2×2 cm (0.8 in) — smaller codes are hard to scan.
- Test with both iPhone and Android before printing in bulk.
- Place the code where guests have good lighting and can stand close.

Yes. iOS 11+ and modern Android open a “join network” prompt when scanning a WIFI: QR code.
Is my WiFi password sent to a server?
No. QRForge generates the code entirely in your browser. The password is encoded into the image and never leaves the device.
Can I change the password later?
A static WiFi QR encodes the password at generation time. Change the password and you must regenerate the code. (Editable dynamic links are a future paid feature.)
Why won’t my WiFi QR scan?
Common causes: too small, low contrast, a logo covering too much, or quiet zone under 4 modules. Use level H and at least a 4-module quiet zone.
